Limited Master, Mate & Operator Book 1
Books 1, 2, 3 and RB-169 Navigation Rules, International & Inland, will prepare you for Master, Mate, and Operator licenses to 100 gross tons. In addition, you will need Books 4 and 5 for the 200 and 500/1600 ton licenses. You will need additional study material to prepare for an "Oceans" endorsement.
Book 1 contains subjects on Licensing, Drug & Alcohol, Manning, Pollution Control, Weather, First Aid, Nautical Terms, Ship Constructiom Marlinspike Seamanship, Purchases, Safe Practices, Anchoring, Mooring, Line Handling, Maneuvering, Sail and Auxilliary Sail.
